Ventilation
Standards:
We
have noticed in the Dallas Metroplex that there is a serious need
for proper ventilation. We have also in-countered that most
companies in the Dallas Metroplex are still installing what is today
considered an outdated venting system. Not adequate in the least for
today's heat index's and or industry standards. Read

Flashings
and Roof Penetrations:
We
have noticed that there is a real lack of quality control when it
comes to completing roofing system with step and counter flashings
Chimney flashings, Skylight flashings and related flashings are all
installed improperly, loose, caulking reliant and generally just a
leak waiting to happen.
Our
flashing skills far surpass any standards with in the Dallas-Ft
Worth area.
Shingle
Roofs:
We
are noticing allot of improper nailing procedures, over shooting
with nail guns. Lack of nails in general. Comp shingles over Cedar?
There
is allot of low quality installations still going on today.
Slate
Roofing:
We
have noticed several areas where slate roofs are not installed as
they should be. Metal valley flashings are nailed through, slate
cutting is done with a saw vs an original slaters hammer and bar.
Tile
Roofs:
Tile
roofs are being installed over Weather Guard, or Tile and Metal
under-layment. Not a wise choice for your new $$$$ Tile roof
Proper
standards for this heat indexed area would be at a min, a hot mopped
layer of APP 160 as they do in S Florida
Skylight
Installations:
We
have noticed that the LOW-E Glass skylights have not been really
introduced to the Dallas area. We are here to show you that
skylights can be a thing of beauty and not some dimmed light hole in
your roof that every time it hails out you have a busted skylight.

Codes:
We've
noticed that there are no roof code enforcements in the Dallas Ft
Worth area thus leaving standards as they were back in the 1930s.
There are also no roof inspections to insure standards? Yes, No
Inspection! Poor Standards!
We
bring our industry standards that are nationwide to Dallas. Just
because its not a code. Don't make it not necessary to have a
properly install vented roof system with flashings that will not
leak a year later!
